Terms of Service (ToS)
Last updated: 10 August 2026
Please read these Terms of Service ("ToS") carefully before using the LetItLog mobile application ("App") provided by Nur Ali (referred to as "Developer"). By using the App, you agree to be bound by these ToS.
Use and Restrictions
- The App is intended for personal use only and must not be used for any illegal activity.
- You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the data you enter or capture with the App.
- Automatic capture and AI interpretation can misread an amount, a merchant or a category. You are responsible for reviewing your records, and every entry can be edited or deleted.
- You must comply with all applicable laws and regulations while using the App.
Data Storage
LetItLog is local-first. There is no LetItLog account and no cloud sync of your expenses.
- On your device: transactions, categories, recurring rules and settings are stored in a database on your phone.
- Backups: you can export your transactions to a file and import them again. Exported files are yours to store, and anywhere you copy them is outside the Developer's control.
- Uninstalling: removing the App deletes its local database. Export a backup first if you want to keep your history.
Device Permissions
Some capture features need permissions that you grant explicitly and can revoke at any time in your system settings:
- Notification access (Android): used only to read payment notifications, such as Google Pay, so an expense can be logged for you. It is never used for any other purpose.
- Microphone: used only while you are recording a voice entry.
- Ongoing notification (Android): if you enable voice capture from the notification shade, the App runs a foreground service so recording works without opening the App.
Subscription-Based Services
The App is offered as a single paid tier. New users get a 7-day free trial, after which a subscription is required to keep using the App.
- Billing: subscriptions are auto-renewing and can be billed monthly or yearly, with the yearly plan offered at a discount compared to paying monthly.
- Listed prices: the catalog price is $4.99 per month or $41.88 per year. The store shows the final price in your local currency, including any applicable taxes, and that price prevails.
- Payment: purchases are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store. The Developer never receives or stores your payment card details. Entitlements are managed with RevenueCat.
- Cancellation: you can cancel at any time in your store account. Access continues until the end of the billing period already paid for.
- Refunds: refunds are handled by the store under its own policy, not by the Developer.
- Price changes: if a price changes, you will be notified through the store before the change applies to your renewal, and you may cancel instead of accepting it.
Availability and Changes
The App is under active development. Features may be added, changed or removed, and service may be interrupted for maintenance or for reasons outside the Developer's control, including changes made by the app stores or by third-party providers. These ToS may be updated, and material changes will be announced on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
App Store Terms
The App is also subject to the terms of the store you installed it from:
- For Android users: Google Play Store Terms of Service
- For iOS users: Apple App Store Terms and Conditions
By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to these ToS.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding these ToS, please contact us at info@letitlog.com.
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 10 August 2026
This Privacy Policy ("Policy") explains how Nur Ali (referred to as "Developer") collects, uses and protects information of users ("User" or "you") of the LetItLog mobile application ("App") and the LetItLog website.
The short version: your expenses stay on your phone. The App has no user account, and the Developer operates no database of your financial data.
Information Stored on Your Device
The following is written to a local database on your phone and is not uploaded to the Developer:
- Transactions: amount, currency, description, date, category and how the expense was captured.
- Captured notification text: when a payment notification is parsed, the original text is kept locally so a wrong parse can be diagnosed and corrected.
- Recurring rules, categories and settings: including your default currency and feature toggles.
Notification access is used strictly to detect payment notifications for expense logging. Notifications from other apps are not collected, stored or transmitted.
Information Sent for Processing
Voice Entries
When you record a voice entry, the audio is sent over an encrypted connection to the LetItLog API, a thin proxy hosted on Railway whose only job is to keep the AI provider's key off your device. The proxy forwards the audio to OpenAI for transcription and interpretation, returns the resulting draft expense to your phone, and stores neither the audio nor the transcript. According to OpenAI's API data usage policies, data sent through the API is retained for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring and is not used to train their models.
Monthly Report Coaching
Report figures are calculated on your device. If you generate coaching tips, a summary is sent through the same proxy to OpenAI: the reporting period, currency, category totals and a small number of short spending samples such as a description, amount and hour of day. Your name, email, device identifiers and full transaction history are not part of that summary, and the summary is not stored by the Developer.
Server Logs
The proxy keeps standard short-lived request logs, such as IP address, timestamp, endpoint and response status, to operate the service, apply rate limits and investigate abuse. Request payloads, audio and report contents are not written to those logs.
Subscriptions and Purchases
Subscriptions are sold and billed by Google Play or the Apple App Store, and entitlements are managed with RevenueCat, which tells the App whether your subscription is active. In this process RevenueCat and the store may process an app user identifier, purchase and receipt data, subscription status, platform, app version and country.
The App does not require an account, so the identifier used is an anonymous one generated for your installation rather than your name or email. If optional accounts are introduced later so a subscription can follow you across devices, this Policy will be updated before that feature ships. The Developer never receives your payment card details. RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy.
Analytics and Crash Reporting
The App currently includes no analytics, advertising or crash reporting SDKs, and no usage profile is built about you. Should anonymous analytics or crash reporting be added to improve stability, it will be limited to non-identifying technical and usage information, will never include the contents of your transactions, and this Policy will be updated with the provider's name and retention period before that collection begins.
Website
The LetItLog website serves static pages with self-hosted fonts and assets. It sets no cookies and embeds no advertising or analytics trackers. See the Cookie & Tracking Policy below for details.
How Information Is Used
- To provide the App's core functionality on your device
- To turn a voice recording or a payment notification into a draft expense
- To generate the coaching tips you explicitly request
- To verify your subscription status and provide paid features
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and enforce rate limits
- To respond to your support requests
Your financial data is never sold, rented or shared for advertising, and it is never shared with third parties except the processors named in this Policy, strictly to deliver the features you asked for.
Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area, processing rests on the following grounds:
- Contract performance: to deliver the features you request and to provide a paid subscription
- Legitimate interest: to keep the service secure, prevent abuse and improve reliability
- Consent: for optional features such as voice capture and notification-based logging, which you enable yourself and can switch off at any time
- Legal obligation: where processing is required by applicable law
Third-Party Services
- OpenAI — interprets voice entries and produces coaching tips. See their privacy policy.
- Railway — hosts the LetItLog API proxy. The proxy stores no user data.
- RevenueCat — manages subscription entitlements.
- Google Play and the Apple App Store — distribute the App and process payments under their own privacy policies.
Data Security
- All traffic between the App, the LetItLog API and third-party services is encrypted with HTTPS/TLS.
- Your financial records remain in the App's private storage area on your device, protected by the operating system's app sandbox.
- The AI provider key is held server-side only and is never shipped inside the App.
- Access to the proxy is restricted and rate limited.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Keeping your device locked and your exported backup files somewhere safe is an important part of protecting your data.
Data Retention
- On-device data: kept until you delete it in the App or uninstall the App
- Voice audio and coaching summaries: not retained by the Developer; OpenAI may retain API data for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring
- Server logs: kept briefly for security and then discarded
- Purchase records: retained by RevenueCat and the stores for as long as needed to service your subscription and meet their legal and accounting obligations
Your Rights
Because your financial data lives on your device, you exercise most rights directly in the App: view, correct or delete any entry, and export everything to a file at any time.
Where applicable law, including the GDPR, grants you rights of access, rectification, erasure, portability, restriction of processing, objection to processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority, you may exercise them regarding data the Developer holds by writing to info@letitlog.com. Purchase records held by RevenueCat or the stores can also be requested through them.
International Data Transfers
The processors named above operate globally, so processing a voice entry or verifying a subscription may involve transferring data outside your country, including to the United States. Those providers rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses where required.
Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under the age of 13, or the minimum age required in your country if it is higher. The Developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Policy Updates
This Policy covers the App and the LetItLog website only, and not other services that may be linked from them. It may be updated from time to time, and material changes will be reflected here with a new "Last updated" date.
Questions about this Policy can be sent to info@letitlog.com.
Jurisdiction and Governing Law
This Policy and any dispute arising from the use of the App are governed by the laws of Kazakhstan, and the competent courts of Kazakhstan have exclusive jurisdiction. The parties agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute through good-faith negotiation.
End User License Agreement (EULA)
Last updated: 10 August 2026
This End User License Agreement ("Agreement") is a legal agreement between you (referred to as "User" or "you") and Nur Ali (referred to as "Developer") governing the use of the LetItLog mobile application ("App").
License Grant
By installing, accessing or using the App you are granted a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use the App on devices you own or control, for personal and non-commercial purposes, subject to this Agreement and to the rules of the store you installed it from.
Restrictions
- Do not copy, sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the App or your access to it.
- Do not reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to derive the source code, except where that restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
- Do not circumvent subscription checks, tamper with the LetItLog API or use it outside the App.
- Do not use the App for illegal purposes or in violation of applicable laws and regulations.
Subscription and Entitlement
Continued use after the 7-day trial requires an active subscription, purchased through Google Play or the Apple App Store and verified through RevenueCat. Your license to the paid features lasts as long as that subscription is active, as described in the Terms of Service.
Your Data and Backups
Your records are stored on your device. You are responsible for keeping your device secure and for exporting backups before you uninstall the App, reset your device or switch phones. The Developer cannot recover data that existed only on a device you no longer have.
Intellectual Property
The App, including its content, features, design and functionality, is owned by the Developer and protected by intellectual property laws. You acknowledge that this Agreement grants you no ownership or intellectual property rights in the App. The expense data you enter remains yours.
Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. The App is a record-keeping and informational tool. It does not provide financial, tax, accounting, legal or investment advice, and automatically captured or AI-generated entries and tips may be inaccurate or incomplete.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data or profits, arising out of or relating to the use of or inability to use the App. The Developer is also not responsible for interruptions, data loss or security incidents caused by third-party providers, including Google Play, Apple, RevenueCat, OpenAI and Railway, whose services are subject to their own terms.
Nothing in this Agreement excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including statutory consumer rights.
Termination
This license ends automatically if you breach this Agreement, and you may end it at any time by uninstalling the App. Provisions on intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law survive termination.
Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of Kazakhstan. Any dispute, claim or controversy arising out of or relating to this Agreement or the use of the App shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation, and failing that shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Kazakhstan.
Miscellaneous
This Agreement, together with the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy, constitutes the entire agreement between you and the Developer regarding the App. If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. A failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it.
By installing, accessing or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to be bound by this EULA. Questions can be sent to info@letitlog.com.
